SCM is a multi-concept hospitality and management corporation, building and expanding a vertically integrated structure that creates, produces, markets and sells the “everyday luxury” lifestyle of products and services that are associated with its brand, the critically acclaimed chef, Scott Conant. The expertise ranges from concept development to management of food service operations.
Scott Conant is a world class three-star chef and one of New York’s most beloved and respected Italian chefs. He was named one of America’s “Best New Chefs” in 2004 by Food & Wine, and opened L’Impero and Alto, to extraordinary success in New York. He has appeared on numerous TV programs including The Today Show, Bravo’s “Top Chef”, “Chopped”, and the “Martha Stewart Show” with plans for his own Food Network, “Restaurant Wars”, beginning in 2010.
Scarpetta NYC was SCM’s first restaurant venture. Scarpetta debuted in Spring 2008 in the Meatpacking District, and amongst other notable accolades, received a prestigious three star review from the New York Times. The follow up was a four star review for Scarpetta Miami, opened in December 2008 in the newly renovated Fontainebleau Hotel. SCM opened Faustina in the Cooper Square Hotel in early 2010, which is a small plates concept with more of a trendy and young vibe. SCM plans to open Scarpetta in Toronto and Las Vegas in 2010.
