Sam Hazen Management


Veteran chef, Sam Hazen, partnered with LDV Hospitality to form Sam Hazen Management. SHM is a food and beverage consulting, management, and development company. The expertise and back bone of SHM is Hazen’s precise operational systems. The combination of LDV Hospitality’s infrastructure and creativity paired with Hazen’s unique organizational culinary systems positions SHM as both a dependable consultant group and a profitable owner / operator.

Sam Hazen is an experienced, well traveled Chef. Both a CIA graduate and later on professor, he has worked and managed some of the most iconic and successful restaurants in the world including: La Cote Basque, Marchesi, and Le Gavroche. Most notably he was the Executive Chef of Tao for nine years, overseeing the number one and two highest grossing restaurants in the United States.

SHM currently oversees the front and back of house operations for Lugo Caffe, a trendy Italian brasserie; consulted on menu for Local West, a burger bar; in Midtown in New York City. Sam Hazen also opened Lugo Caffe to Seoul, Korea in 2009. Future projects for SHM include launching a 300 seat new American brasserie concept in 2010.
