Inspired by Amy Sacco’s New York celebrity hotspot No. 8, Rec Room is a tribute to the nightspots that put New York on the map. The intimate lounge offers an upscale yet approachable environment, reminiscent of a friend’s 1970s basement; wood-paneled walls are accented by weathered palm tree prints. Over 3,000 vinyl records line the walls surrounding the venue’s DJ booth where old-school music is spun traditionally, sans zip drive. Exclusive yet inviting, Rec Room is a perfect combination of New York underground vibe and the laid-back feel Miami is known for. The Miami Beach outpost transports guests back to a time where nightlife was about good friends and great drinks in an atmosphere where everyone's a VIP.
LDV Hospitality is pleased to announce their Art Basel Miami Beach 2015 lineup featuring No. 8 at Rec Room along with live bands and artists performing at Regent Cocktail Club. Kicking off with No. 8, the New York City lounge is heading south to its subterranean brother lounge, Rec Room, where a lineup of great DJ’s will be spinning Thursday, Dec. 3- Saturday, Dec. 5th. No. 8, brought to life by Bobby Rossi and Amy Sacco, takes its name from the renowned bungalow of the Beverly Hills Hotel, famous for its historical affairs, crimes of passion, and celebrated scandal.
Grandmaster Flash spun beats at Rec Room at The Gale Hotel in Miami before making a stop at Rec Room at No. 8 in New York’s Meatpacking district. The musical legend mixed older hits and new tracks for a nonstop dancing crowd, and in New York, shared the dance floor with Amy!
